SMARTonWEB now makes its news available as practical RSS feeds. By subscribing to our RSS feeds, you can quickly and easily receive the latest news from SMARTonWEB. Below you will find information on RSS and on what programs and/or setups are needed to use feeds.
What is RSS?
RSS stands for . Originally developed for the transmission and exchange of messages, it is increasingly being used by private parties to receive specific information about selected themes.
In technical terms, RSS is an XML-based format that allows content to be read irrespective of the platform used.
Users of our RSS feeds are kept constantly up to date about main issues, subject to periodical update, in which they have an interest.
What do I need in order to use RSS feeds?
In order to gain access to our RSS service, you simply need an Internet connection and a reader (named also "aggregator") wich allows to receive the published RSS feeds. You can download a variety of free or commercial readers from the Internet. Among all programs available on the net, SMARTonWEB proposes or , two readers which are free and easy to install and use.
In addition the RSS version used by SMARTonWEB is supported by nearly all readers and major browsers such as Firefox and Internet Explorer, now supporting RSS natively.
How can I subscribe to SMARTonWEB RSS feeds?
Right click with your mouse on the orange button or on the titles corresponding to the feed you want to subscribe to (see table on left side of this page) and choose "copy link". If you use , in the "Address" field paste the address you just copied and press "Subscribe". If you use , click on the "new feed" button and paste the address you just copied. Click on "next" and then on "finish".
